Colt 9mm mags?

Depends which gun store in Montana you are in. Probably $40 there. In Canada whoever has them would probably want $100 apiece for them. I got 3 colt and 3 poly mags of $200ish shipped when H Y C A P S was still in business. It sucks that he had to be an a**hole and get busted because I thought he had a great business and would have made tons of money shipping pinned mags, but what do I know.

I completely agree, it's an absurd price and there's no justification to charge that much, just to be able to shoot 9mm through an AR system. I was reminded of the laws of supply and demand, well sure, if you can find a sucker willing to pay that amount, go for it.

The best current option is the legal 10 round mags sold by Questar, their only drawback is their tiny size, they retail for around $30 each, currently out of stock, more in a few months.

The ORIG ALL very thick steel Colt mags even had a steel follower I had about 25 of them got them when i got my colt ro634 9mm smg years ago

Isold several off over the years and $300.00 was the least i ever got that was for the 5/32 rnd mags the 5/20 mags were even more as they are harder to find

the plastic ones are aftermarket and cheap to buy

No you're sitting on far more than $1800...apparently

Just post an ad in the EE, "Colt mags available" - only complete suckers welcome.

Who in their right mind would pay $350, $400, for a single, MASS PRODUCED mag, that fits an obscure AR variant?

Remember that mags are often the first component to cause a gun failure, so you should buy plenty and discard any that cause feed malfunctions - since they can never be reliably repaired.

I paid $700 for my lightly used RRA 9mm.....puts things in perspective.

I got them off H Y C A P S last year. He sent me three promags and three c-products and it came in about $200 shipping included but that's a no go now so maybe that Irunguns guy might work out.

Guys that are starving for the metal AR mags: you do know that an UZI mag is easy to convert to use in an AR platform, don't you?

The only thing you don't get is, bolt hold open on last round. Both styles of Uzi mag can be utilized, ie. the ones with the "rib" on the back, and the "flat back" style of mags. The 20, 25, 32 round mags can be fitted.

When I could buy any Uzi mag for $20 and the Colt 9mm mags were $45ish, I bought a few of the Uzi mags and "converted" them with Mr Dremel and they work fine. I'm sure anyone with a small bit of machining skill could make them look better than mine, but they work.

Yea, I missed out on H Y C A P S, saw they site but didn't have the funds, then when I did they vanished - still don't actually know what happened there, seems they got shut down.

I've seen the YouTube vids on converting Uzi mags, I have a few to experiment with - just haven't got round to it yet.

I've contacted IRUNGUNS and they said they'd be taking mags/parts orders once they were set up for canadian credit card payments on their site, though they didn't acknowledge my question regarding pinning the mags.

High Calibre Services, the CGN sponser, said they'd be getting any and all ProMag mags including 9mm AR, pinned, from early next year - perhaps effectively replacing H Y C A P S.

I figure if we all keep barking about this, eventually a dealer will sniff out the business potential and start bringing in the product.

Ya I guess he got busted in B.C> with some smuggling issues. Guys on here have bought firearms from Irunguns and he supposedly pins the mags. Don't see why he can't as some states have mag limits.

Wow, that was pretty stupid of HY..you-know-who to mess around, plenty of legit business potential, no need to play games.

Good to hear about IRUNGUNS (ironically sounding like gun smugglers "running guns") pinning mags, forgot about California mag limits - good point.
