Price of Radom Vis.35 out of control?

I guess the question is, how many serious Radom collectors do we have in Canada and do most of them already have nice pre-war Polish eagle examples? At $3800, we are talking a huge premium over the more common German Radoms that routinely sell between $600 to $1000 in Canada.
I've noticed Collectors Source has also started asking very top dollar prices for Radoms, even if they aren't matching or original.

Collector's source has always been high with their prices. But then also has hard to find items.
As to the price of Radoms - its like Garands... prices go up because people want them and are willing to pay more than they used to. Epps recently was selling two Radoms in the $500 range and a fellow nutter bought another Radom recently for $450-$495. Plus I believe last summer or spring another nutter got one for as low as $400. I bought my occupation Radom for $425 four years ago.
The one in the Wolverine Surplus Sale sold for $850 - I was surprised by that price considering what most of the surplus firearms were selling for.
That said you have to be extremely careful when buying high end items - Radoms or otherwise. There are variations in Radoms which make some more valuable than others.

Yes, prewar Polish eagle Radoms in exelent condition with numbers matched are $5000+ in US right now.
Buyers beware, one "enterprize & co" in Austria has original stolen from Radom original machinery to produce "extras". German nazi stamped Radoms were mass produced with slave labour in Radom, Poland during II World War with attention to quantity rather than quality that's why there is up to 10 times difference in price between two models. Friend of mine that collects them was asking the Radom factory manager couple of years ago about posibility of starting the production of new ones b/c huge demand and apparently it's possible. Minimum order would be 1000 pistols for under $2500 a piece IIRC. Bigger order would reduce the price quite a bit.
For a prewar Polish eagle thats not unheard of. An advanced pistol for the advanced collector. I have seen most German occupation pieces sell between $800 - $1000 for an all matching example. Add more for holster/extra magazines etc...

And its a VIS made at Radom. Not a Radom
The plans for making them are owned buy two gun makers in Poland. There is a set at Original Radom factory and Pionner Arms the guys who are making PPS-42 pistol/sub maching gun also own the set of plans. I think Tactical imports talked about VIS with Pionner Arms. Pionner arms are also located at original radom factory grounds.

Is it matching? Shoulder stock slot? Post pics so folks can see what you've got. Show all markings, condition of barrel, grips etc. Any waffenamts on the magazine - pics of the mag as well. I'm assuming WW2 magazine and not aftermarket.

I am not sure if all matching, I have not stripped her right down yet, no shoulder stock slot, has one "waffenmant" on the bottom towards the front of the magazine. LIttle synbol over 189
Serial # is W86**
Number on slide under decocking lever is 171** and has an X with a "hook" coming down to the right off the top of the X in front of the 171**
also barely legible under one of the symbols could be 625 or 825 ??
to my inexperienced eye it is in actually quite good condition in my opinion, I have fired a couple of mag's through her, no issues, shoots like a dream.
I will try and post a few pics below and attempt a better try tomorrow....my photo skills are not great as you will see with these results....

Off hand its a German Occupation Type II w/o the slot.
The 625 or 825 number may be 623 which if I recall correctly indicates either parts made at a sub plant in Poland with final assembly at Steyr or made and assembled at Steyr depending on whether its E/ or WaA. The WaA189 on the magazine indicates the Steyr sub plant in Warsaw.
Check to see if the barrel matches anything and look inside the top of the slide for the serial number, and whether it matches the frame or barrel. (W86xx)

OK, stripped her down and had a better look.
All numbers are matching, Frame, Slide and Barrel.
I would have to say finish looks better in hand than the pictures I posted.
