He then sold it rather quickly though, so not sure what the deal was there.

I've had one on order for almost a year now, I'm really wanting a bolt 223 with open sights but if it is much longer I'm looking for something else.

I haven't had any luck tracking one down in 223 either I wonder if Savage can't keep up with their orders or they just aren't getting north of the border for some reason

I saw on the irunguns website that they had 22 in stock, I came back an hour later to do my order and they were all gone. I'm hoping they get up here soon, or I'm looking for another option.

Actually I was kind of thinking something like this, 223 with iron sights, and a quick detachable red-dot would make an awesome truck/SHTF survival type rifle.
