Help - Missing Mosin M44 Piece

Hello Nutterz,

I need some assistance. I have a Polish M44 and noticed last time out that the small metal cap that sits between the cleaning rod and the barrel about 4 inches from the muzzel was loose. Whatever was holding it in had fallen out without me seeing/noticing it. Can anyone tell me what goes in there? Is/was it a screw or a rivet or?

Its a screw, the M91/30 have the same screw. Check with Trade-Ex for a replacement screw, they might be able to help you.

It's a forend cap screw. Numrich in the US sells them along with most other parts. I deal with them a lot.

They only charged you 25? They are pricey on the shipping but parts are well priced and they seem to have more stuff than anybody out there. I just gag and pay it.

?? I just ordered $135 worth of parts from them. I have had several over $100 orders. You might however get dinged duties. For some reason Canada customs does that on a hit and miss basis.

Joce - I had a look on the Tradex site but didn't see it so will give them a call.

Points - Thanks for thr Numrich suggestion, I did find it on their site but the shipping? Ouch!!

collector67 - Thanks for the heads up about $100, I did have a look at the rest of the Numrich site and saw a blade I really like, but we can't get blades shipped to Canada can we?

I saw something I liked other than the $2 part I need but lack knowledge concerning the above.
