First thing is change to the 3.5 pound trigger. Very easy install and I noticed the difference right away. Try some rounds with stock trigger and then see the difference after the change. Here is a vid to help. While he ^^ is polishing his 1911 you are shooting your glock.

-Ghost rocket Connect 3.5lbs
-Metal sights "if you have the plastic OEM one"
-Glock OEM ext slide catch
-Glock OEM ext Mag catch
-Grip tape

Do not buy Ti parts they are garbage IMO

I originally put the 3.5lb connector in mine, but have recently switched it back to stock after shooting a stock trigger G26. Just something about the stock trigger I like more now, plus I overcame my trigger issues (why I switched out in the first place).

As with any new HG....I would just shoot it stock for the first 1000+ rounds to get a feel for it. After that make the changes you think will make it more enjoyable. It your HG so there is no right or wrong just bad combinations.
There are so many options with a Glock and the best part is most can be done yourself. Lots of info on the internet.

You need an eye disease to get over the appearance of the Glock... I prescribe you a direct injection of a Sig 226 and bed rest. Buy a 1911 and make an appointment for next week, for a checkup.

With my 9mm 1911 all I have ever done is shoot the hell out of it and clean it. Shoots awesome!
