First impressions new CZ 858

Just got back from the range after picking up a CZ 858 Tactical NR yesterday. First thing, this is a freakin fun gun to shoot!! I love the weight and handling of of it. I am very surprized at the lack of recoil. I've heard it compared to a 30-30 but I'd say it was way less. I was shooting Nork non corrosive and groups with the open sights @ 50 yards without any adjustments were to me very good. Off a rest I'd say the were in the range of 2" - 3". I had one five shot string where 3 shots were touching and two very close. Standing slow fire about 5". rapid fire standing well I still hit the target. Given my eyesight has been going downhill since hitting forty i would say it was all me and the gun can do better. No feeding or ejecting problems. I'd say I now have my new favorite SHTF gun. :cool:

Another happy CZ858 shooter! I love mine as well. I agree that the 858 has less recoil than that of the .30-.30. Once you get shooting it#s hard to stop! Don#t forget to give that rifle a good cleaning after shooting the corrosive ammo.
 
I'm on to my second NR CZ already, not much compared to some of the guys here but I'm sure that number will grow once I'm out of university! They are fantastic guns, that are so addicting to shoot that they have actually made some of my friends go get their firearms license and converted some "Antis" as well! :D
