Man does Westrifle ever have some nice looking SKSs on their site.

Been awhile since I've seen that quality of Russian SKSs available. They even have some 1949 ones too. I really like the way they are having them pinned on this batch.

Doing my best not to buy a Russian SKS for the collection...... you are not helping.....

They are some really nice rifles though...........

They have a nice batch right now so I don't think your wallet would mind too much. :)

I posted these pics on Westrifle's subforum, but I'll add them here too. This is one of the current "numbers matching" variants and it's just like brand new. I'm cleaning it right now and grabbed a couple pics.

You had to post pictures, didn't you.... I am reporting you to my wife immediately! :p

(... and by reporting you I mean blaming you for the Russian SKS I am about to order... )

When I looked at the price, I thought "What's so special here?"
Then I looked at the photos. Very nice. And I already broke my budget on a couple of Enfields. Damn!

The current batch at Del Selin Gunsmith in Vernon is outstanding, too. It almost seems like those willy Russians sent us the roughest ones first (the black bolt ones) and kept the best in reserve. Each subsequent batch seems to have been a little bit better condition.

I have no idea if what you suggest is true, or if it is true, whether deliberate, but it would make sense. If I was selling the old guns, I let the rougher ones go first. If you sell the good ones first, it would be hard to get rid of the rougher ones later.

Guys if you take out the shipping cost and the fact that I had to go there for a month digging those out the price is not bad compare to other on the market. Also I do sell to other dealers in Canada, some decide to buy black bolt because it is 20 dollars cheaper from other distributors. I am not blamming other distributors for doing that. Some buyers care only about the price and other want quality. For this batch I picked all matching numbers special depo from overseas. I will do have 200 out of 2000 rifles shipped next month that will have ###X to supply those dealers who do not care on matching numbers.
All it is guys if you willing to put time, money and effort you can then find those beautiful SKS ( connection and ability to speak the language do help as well). The one thing that makes me bring those ###X which I still look at before I buy them is people who want to replace the stock to Tapco stock or other types of stock

I forgot to take a pic of the magazine to show how it complies with our stupid laws. The original stamped serial number on the bottom is intact, which is what many of us want. No Frankenpin! Yay! ;)
