VZ 58/CZ 858 Tactical Bolt Release

I've got a spare BC Tactical Bolt Release if you want it, I just swapped it out for an NEA and it came with the gun. If you wanna PM me your address etc. you can have it for free, depending on how much it costs to ship it to you I'll even cover that! Consider it an early Christmas gift!

Cheers,
Mitch

I was wondering how you compare the two and why you picked the NEA one in the end?

Anyone seen any in stock or for sale anywhere lately? I've got an older version from Neit Arms that won't hold my bolt open after the last round is fired. Less than 100 rounds since it was installed. I'd like to find one of the newer versions if possible.
LOL!!!
So much for a life time warrenty. I had issue's with mine too. So I went with another companies bolt release and have been problem free ever since.

ChopperDoctor:

For what its worth, I looked a long time to find mine for my latest build to celebratete the death of the LGR!!

It would seem that NEA has shifted much if not all there resources toward their AR line of products.

As a result supplies of their 858 accessories and kit are dwindling and getting harder and harder to come by.

For what it worth I have had both NEA and BC extended bolt catches in the past and I ended up going with the BC Extened Mag and bolt release set.

If your still looking, The Calgary Shooting Centre had one NEA extended bolt catch left when I was there on the evening of Dec 11. (I took their second to last NEA ambi selector!!)

While both will work, my preference at this time is for the BC Tactical items.

While a bit off topic, I also just ordered and received my BC tactical hand-guards. While I have not installed them yet, I really like what I see.

Think KAC RAS for the 858 platfrom.

There are a couple of minor annoyances from BC tactical.

First is that they only sell there extextended mag release and extened bolt catch as a set, (they can not be purchase individually)

Second the BC tactical handguard set come without the upper handguard cross pin, and you must use the one from your existing hand guards and swap out the pin.

Its no big deal, and I undesstand why they have done it this way, but both are still a PITA

Any how these are just my thoughts.

AbH

Really sorry it took so long to respond but I've been quite busy studying for finals. I picked the NEA one as it has more area for your finger to hit (or it seems like it to me), it has a rougher finish allowing better "grip" to your finger and it also sits in a better position IMO. It just overall feels more like something that belongs on a military style rifle as opposed to a range queen.

Mitch
