Got another one!!! This time a previously enjoyed Sig p226R. Got a good deal at Wanstalls. I'll be taking her out tomorrow for some fun (become a seal for a few minutes lol).

yeah, it looks pretty good. They said 500 rds or so. It sat at the store for the last few months. Wanstalls still has one more that's German made for a couple bucks more, but this one was in a little bit of a better shape. Idk if I made the right choice, most seem to prefer the German over USA.

I bought to brand new guns and will never do it again, used is the way to go! Bought 3 used guns so far and I had a hard time telling they were used. Couple hundred rounds is nothing for a good quality firearm and you can buy more ammo with what you saved.

You should install the SRT kit. You will be amazed at the trigger reset. It resets sooner than my CZ Shadow.

Thanks will do. I just got back from the range, 150 rds without issues but I wasn't that impressed with the trigger. It seamed pretty long in SA. I also noticed a little bit of a slide rattle. Is that normal on a p226?

I took it to the range again. Fired 150 rds with one ftf. Its defiantly a learning curve with this gun. The aim is low and the trigger takes some getting used to. This gun doesn't feel natural in my hand like the XD9 or 92FS. I'd say that for me, its more difficult to shoot then the others. However I'm not that +experienced.

This is 18 hits out of 20 rds fired at 50'

Could use a little more description, but in short, no.

love my P226

no slide rattle

it doesn't shoot low, left or right....it's you. not trying to be a ####...the likelihood of the gun being the problem is magnitudes of order less than the problem being the operator. Probably just need time to find your grip on this particular pistol and find the right sight picture for you.

If you have med-large size hands then try adjusting your grip..if you have med-small size hands the E2 grip is a nice option. The SRT is so good that I think it's a shame that Sig doesn't provide it standard on all their consumer pistols.

No slide rattle on my P226 either. I have to agree with Vermintrex. It's probably you and not the gun. Use a 6 o'clock hold and concentrate on the basic's. Then you'll see what the Sig can do.
