Whitetail Buck's Down

thats a nice buck, what was the final weight and spread ?

When I brought the carcuss into the butcher it weighed in at exactly 150 pounds. On the hoof, my best quess would be about 250 pounds. The inside spread is 18 inches..............did not measure the outside spread. He gross scored at 182 B&C.

Just arrived back from my Saskarchewan and had a very successful and enjoyable hunt as usual. My son connected on a fine whitetail, however; I will be hanging my tag onthe Christmas tree this year. I passed-up many bucks that did not quite meet my minimum....................I guess that why they call it hunting and not killing.

Nice buck! I have the exact same "Double Mackinaw Cruiser" for a hunting coat and I really like it too.
Thanks! The Double Mackinaw Cruiser is the best coat that I ever owned, in fact it is to good. I wish that i could use it in Saskatchewan to hunt whitetails, however their game law don't permit it...........Saskatchewan is always cold during the last week of November. Anyway, here is another whitetail I took two years ago wearing the coat..............it was -24 that evening and the coat came in handy.
