I'm with Aaron on that one. I see nothing wrong with the trappers (other than the lack of accutrigger) but I think I paid $175 for my JW15A and it's not going anywhere. Too handy a size, decent accuracy, creepy but predictable trigger~works fine for me.
EDIT~you asked whether or not it's a "better" rifle. I wouldn't think it is better than a Savage-made gun. Some rough machining in the bolt, receiver, but I think the bluing on mine is much nicer than the Savage rimfires I've seen in recent years. Assuming it is a blued finish...looks like a satin blue/black. Mine has no bluing at the muzzle at all~I think these were standard length barrels already blued...when Norinco decided to cut them down. So, it's raw metal you see at the muzzle. Still, no evidence of corrosion...even when it's' gotten damp.
