has anyone made a 10/22 into a cz858 lookalike?

I believe the OP means a Ruger 10/22 into a CZ 858 look-alike, not a CZ 858 conversion to a rimfire. There are kits available outside Canada that we are not aware of. Even a CGNutter did an MP5 look-alike project just recently. Not sure if this one is completed. With the right tools, materials and skill level, nothing is impossible.

I have both the 858 and the 10/22 . Can't imagine wanting to spend the dough to make a 10/22 into something that looks like a CZ . To each their own though . What I really don't get is why in the he)) anyone would want to neuter an 858 into a .22 with that conversion . It's like turning a 66 Shelby Cobra into a Pinto . Talk about striving for mediocrity !
Just my 2 cents .

not to hijack the thread but i do know a couple buddies with 858's and at their range they have times when the FMJ ammo is banned, so with the 22 conversion they can still have some fun times with their 858's.

Good point . Never thought of that as my range does allow FMJ .
I just can't get around how weird it would be to pull the trigger on my 858 and have it make a tiny popopopop , instead of that lovely KE-RACK I'm so fond of . Also , for the price of the conversion , a person could pick up a tactical looking .22 , so it seems like a waste . Again , to each their own though .
