The MRDS is a lightweight, ruggedized reflex sight that mounts to many existing optics as well as MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny and Weaver-style rails utilizing widely available aftermarket mounts.

The MRDS is available in a non-reflective black or tan finish with either a 3.5 MOA or 7.0 MOA dot size and is easily adjustable for elevation or windage with 1 MOA positive click adjustments. The MRDS features an auto adjusting dot intensity but also offers the operator a manual dot intensity adjustment with four (4) brightness settings.

curious - why would the 7moa model be more expensive? i've always thought you'd have better capability of accuracy with a smaller dot...
 
The size of the dot is dependent on your application. Within shorter distances 25 meters or less a larger dot is preferred as it allows for faster target aquisition.
 
When did they come out with these little guys? Or have they always had them and I've just never heard of the eotech version because the market is already flooded with RMR/Razor/Deltapoint options?

I actually prefer the 6-8 MOA options on these kinds of reflex sights. They go great on shotguns or handguns that way.

They are called Insight MRDS. Insight is owned and operated by L3 hence they are EoTech's family branch.
The cool feature besides being NVG compatible they also have a setting were it will auto iluminate or dim depending on the lighting envirioment. Just like the Dr.Optic except for the fact you can turn it off.
They will handel anything from pump 12ga to siting on top of an M14 & out of the 4 that you mentioned none of the other 3 can compare. As some have suvirvied the military testing in the states none of the others have all of the features that this reflex sight offers.

I'd like to know more! How would one of these compare to an Aimpoint Micro T1 or H1?
