Hello All
I was on the s&w website and noticed several revolvers with 4.125 barrels as well as replacement barrels.
These have been historically 4 inch. Is this s&w's answer to the 4.2 inch rugers ?
Is my math rusty or does 4.125 inches still not equal restricted up here?
Thanks for any input.
Ed

I would interpret as: 4.125" = 104.775 mm which is 105 mm. . Taken to the nearest. .

Rod for head of the CFC!!!!!!

But seriously, folks...

"edppcli", you might want to check this other CGN link, where someone got a 586 with a barrel just a gnat's eyebrow longer than the minimum. (Turned out it was a special Cdn.-legal run.)
I contacted S&W about their "nominal" 4" barrels. No joy, alas.

Yeah, I read that thread too...

4.15" = 105.41mm which is 0.016" longer than minimum length allowed. What a joke our gun laws are.

Same length as my Ruger SR9. But you know, I have never felt the urge to hold up a Tim Horton's or open fire on any of my neighbours.
No doubt this is due to the sagacity of Big Brother, who decreed that less than 105mm is poo-poo BAD. So I guess it works...
