Just found out about this and saved HUGE. Not sure which of the sponsor dealers offer this, and I won't mention the name of the company I went through (got referred by a kind hearted fellow service-member). It's worth enquiring with your local gun shop or online retailer before buying as you stand to save a bundle.

Just wanted to pay it forward.

Cheers.

Shhhh....
first rule of fight club....

Its limited to one purchase/year. But how many Glocks does one need in a year =0)

I also wanted the G17 and had to be put on a notification list for when they get them back in stock sometime early 2013 is what I was told, and the waiting begins...

I've seen them on Questars site. They look pretty nice. A bit of a wait to get one though. There's another thread going right now where someone said you have to change out the recoil spring/guide rod assemble though??

Looks like the RSA in a Gen 4 G22 is a different part number than the Gen 4 G17. Anyone know somebody who's done the swap to find out for sure? I'd hate to have a new barrel that I waited weeks for show up and not work and then have to source a new recoil spring.

I love the Police Ordnance program for those of you who qualify ( LEO or military or firefighter) the program is a great incentive. :)

Now if you are a G17 lover , have any of you given any thought to the G 34? My G34 shot like a house on fire and I could do no wrong. It was a shooter!

Cheers
Barney

It is a different recoil spring assembly. I can't recall the weight of each off hand. You can try it with the G22 RSA and see if it works anyway. I'd shoot 9mm that's at the heavier and hotter end of the spectrum though to up your odds of correct assemble. The most likely issues you'll have are failures to eject, failures to feed and failure of the slide to lock aft over an empty mag. In any case, nothing catastrophic.

You'll need G17 mags, as the G22 mags will not feed 9mm properly. A G22 will take standard G17 magazines, according to info from LW.

Let us know how you make out.
