MOA question

Im curious about a 6 " plate at 400 yards...is this a 1.5 MOA 6" across or is it center of plate to edge 3" so 0.75 MOA?

6" at 400 yds... MOA is 1.047" at 100 yds.... so 6/(1.047*4) = 1.43 MOA

^ to be exact. Close to 1.5 MOA but not exactly.

I usually just estimate, I know that for every 100 yards you add approx 1 in. So if your 400 yards a 4 in plate would be moa, so 6 '' is 2 inches more so plus half voila 1.5 about.

that's just the way i do it

or if you had a 8'' plate at 600. 6'' would be moa so 8'' plate is 2'' more than 6'' so thats a third more so...1.33moa
