Latest edition, just delivered today. Can't wait to shoot it off next week. Thanks to Wantstalls for getting these in. Shipping was lightning quick and Canada Post is delivering on Sundays too for the holidays. For sure this is my largest handgun calibre in the safe. Was surprised to see that the new Model 29's also come with a wooden presentation box. Did not expect it. Anyways, range report in a couple of weeks.

I love this thing! Such a beaut.

I wont waste money on those new model 29s, if they made it an exact copy of the orginal then yes, in a heart beat. I dunno why they are making these with no recessed cylinders and calling them model 29s. 29-10 maybe.

Yep it's a 29-10.

No documented benefits recessed vs non recessed, pinned vs crush fit...it's going to be a shooter and treated as such. I'm going to take this thing thousands of rounds and back again and it'll take it.

It's a beautiful gun and I don't consider it wasted.

Sorry, it is a nice gun, just when i see model 29 i think of the vintage ones. Im sure it will be a good shooter, its a Smith after all.

I have a small collection of S&W Model 29's that I have bought over the years of their production. The early guns show the deep blue and nice wood. Then the early SS ones were classic stainless polish. Then later ones just look different. But they all shoot 44 magum or the 44 special with no issues. Every one needs the 61/2 in blue to honour Clint!

Nice gun, after a bit of shooting it'll smooth it out and it will just gett beter and better. You'll absolutely LOVE It and the presentation box adds a real nice touch too. Pics of the pistol in the box please!

thanks!

by popular demand pic below. i had to clean it and get all the preservative off the gun first.
