So I was wonder g if there has been any others interested in obtaining a Surbu super shorty. Manufactured by SERBU firearms in I believe Daytona Florida.

Any dealers interests in bringing them in

no one will as you cant export them, they are not a pistol so that makes it US NFA class III firearm, cant export it.
having said that i do know of 2or 3 that are up here, no idea how they got here but they did.
bbb

One Shot tactical is trying to get the Ithaca Stakeout in Canada, if he succeed then i guess the Serbu will get in too.

.

There's no point really. For the hassle and expense it would be better to get someone to make you a folding front foreend and mount it on a Grizzly 8.5 with the pistol grip of your choice and then have it registered as restricted.

I'll be first in line for a Serbu on Mossberg receiver... been a "want" for several years. I was heart-broke when I learned it was the US side that was prohibiting us from owning them.

I spoke to Mr. serbu thIs afternoon and may have some promising news by end of this week! With that being said the serbu would be shipped with a regular but stock to brin it's overall length within Canadian legality :). I'm do excited. One of these bad boys would fit nicely in a thigh rig wich would be my choice of side arm if we were allowed to conceal. I will have to make do with running around the confinement of my own house. All the 45acp feenes would deff have Some cOmpetition!

I have had the grizzly 8.5 and played with the serbu. Hands down the serbu felt more solid

Would replacing an 870 with a 6.5 DLASK not make it a restricted since it wasn't as us from factory?

It's not the buttstock that's stopping it from coming here. Actually, nothing is stopping it from coming to Canada as a restricted firearm.

The US has not allowed export of any shotgun barrel under 18" for years. People seem to have made a lot of headway the last couple of years on bringing in rifle barrels under 16" so it may be possible that they'll loosen the requirement. Farmboy's statement makes it sound like it's going to happen, which is great news.

Then people can start bringing in cheap 14" Mossbergs.

I'd have a hard time choosing between a Serbu 870 and a short barrelled Ithaca...

Anyway that folding foregrip is what really sets the Serbu (and the similar Safe Harbor KEG-12) apart from the typical mini shotgun setup, both in looks and in function.

No worries about getting your pump hand out in front of a short barrel with those.

I wish they were available as a separate item.

I wish they were available as a separate item.

I emailed them last year and they were not interested in selling them as you probably know. Looks like a real basic design....I suggested to Canam that they see if they can get some made for their short guns but they didn't think it would be worth it.
I think it wouldn't be a hard project for someone handy with a welder.

I wonder if Serbu or Safe Harbor would consider offering supershortified Ithaca 37s since they're now available in AOW form and given that 870 AOWs are no longer available from Remington?

Rico Tubbs would approve.
