I want to send a few nice big coyote pelts to be done right, where can I send them? I've heard of a few tanneries around but can't find them online.

In the GTA (Ontario), but shipping the hides is okay with me as well.

Whites Tannery just outside of Rockwood..I will get you the contact info and PM you..I just have to find it..I usually drive there its about 10 minutes from me..about 45 min west of GTA..I have used them in the past..usually takes about a year to get back

i believe international furs in winnipeg would tan it in less than a year, not sure if you really want to ship that far though.

Could you PM me that info too please? I'm not far from there either.

Trans Canada Trap Supply is North Bay Ontario does mine all the time. Big difference in getting it Taxidermy tanned and the type of tanning to be used in garments. I have got beavers, lynx, otter, coon, etc done to make hats and mitts and they do an exceptional job. It just takes time - about 6 -8 months.

Good luck

Whites does a good job, they are very slow because the fur tanning they do is a side line and not part of there major production. I would check with them if they are still doing the "custom work" ie. furs. The last 5 hides I was to have done were not the ones I had brought in and I didn't accept them, they were much smaller and had numerous cuts in the hide as a result of pure skinning. (It seems their identification system leaves much to be desired).
After that fiascal Russ said he wasn't going to do any more fur.
