What are you doing with it? Hunting deer, varminting..?
I hunt deer with mine, and use Lapua brass with the CCI200 primer and 43 grains
of W760 behind the 125 partition.
One Muley, one Whitetail this year, two shots fired, 110 yards and 160 yards.

I am using 4831 SC with 140 Bergers. They like going about 2850 and the definitely like being jammed 10 - 15 thou. Powder will depend on your batch and your gun but I am running 47 grains in the batch of powder I have now.
For my .260, it "likes":
139 gn Lapua Scenar
36.3 gn IMR 4064
Nosler Brass
Federal 210M Large Rifle Match Primers
2.810" COAL
FWIW, these are loaded with Redding Dies on a Forster CoAx press and give me about 1 to 1.5 inch groups at 300m.
Remember, these are just guidelines. They may not be ideal for your rifle. Start low & work up to a safe load for YOUR rifle.

Excellent barrels, I used a one on my F-Class gun chambered for .260 REM 30 inches long 1:8 twist. It loved 139 gr Lapua Scenars!
Looks like you will have a fine rig there, especially once you rebarrel.
I would abandon the idea of using Berger VLD bullets for hunting, though.
There are so many better "hunting" bullets out there, some with BC's as good as the Berger.
For targets, Berger VLDs and Lapua Scenars are hard to beat.

What do you find the best 6.5 hunting bullets are? I use 130 barnes tsx in front of 42gr of H4350 seated 0.050 off the lands. How do you guys like the Sierra game kings? I'm currently using a 700sps blueprinted with a 24" Shilen Barrel built by Dennis Sorensen. I bought it off another GN and I love it. I'd like to develop a solid 140gr hunting round for larger game. Thanks gents.

139 lapuas with h-4831sc, R-P cases and cci br2 primers. These shoot better then I can hold at any range I've shot them.
