Snakeskin / Carbon Fiber Paintjob on Chinese SKS Fiberglass Stock

I recently acquired this Chinese SKS in a trade, and it had the ugliest mud red fiberglass stock I've ever seen. I had the rifle apart for a thorough cleaning and decided to give it a less ugly look! I thought I would share the project with you guys. So here it is!

Thanks! The pistol grip came with it, and I wasn't too sure about it either to be honest, it seems a little awkward to hold as a rifle with the grip (for me anyway), but when you're using the bipod, it seems to be more comfotable and stable with the grip. It comes off easy enough, and is attached to the trigger mechanism, so you just pop the trigger out and unscrew the grip with an allen key. It's a direct bolt on, no modifcation necessary. I'm going to take it to the range on the weekend and test the rifle with the grip and without to see what I like better.

I saw that and really wanted to make a thread mocking the guy. But resisted.

See the OP knows what to do with an SKS. They're guns that you can buy and experiment with and if things go weird its not a loss. You can toy with them without feeling guilty.

Generally I don't care for mods, but that is the first attractive paint job I've seen in a long time. Ditto on the pistol grip, doesn't do a lot for me.

Thank you! I didn't like the grip at first, but it's growing on me.

Yes, I believe so. The ugliest fiberglass stock I've ever seen!
