An easy, light recoiling, flat shooting way of makeing zero to 400 yard deer sized animals go limp. If you think about it, that covers one heck of a lot of hunting world-wide. For bigger critters you have your .340.
almost every one should have one.
There's a reason it was Roy's favorite cartridge.
would this rifle have less recoil than a 7MM-08?
Some people aren't ready for the awesomeness that the 257 wby brings to the table.
Reformed R-P 7mm rem brass is my favorite. One pass in a 257 wby die and your in buseness with the added bonus of never having to trim.

Weatherby factory ammo in .257, .270 and .300 can be had for $40 a box.
I don't like the price of brass or factory ammo either. I saw ammo yesterday at $80/box, and I've seen brass approaching $100/50...so you're saying I can simply run 7mm rem. Mag brass through my .257Wby sizing die and I'm good to go?
Where? As I said earlier, I just saw it marked as $80/box yesterday.
