Right you are. After playing around with it a bit, the EOTech is a bit too high. May get a cheek riser eventually... For now, ive removed it....

The magpul cheek riser on my stock conversion hits the eotech/holo sight line nicely but i MUCH prefer the micro/vortex/mini RDS. I find it really adds less to my sight picture and the reassurance that I can rock and roll with the irons at any time prevents nervous diarrhoea.

Try reversing the mag coupler. Looks more like a proper 30 round mag, but you may have to modify it to be secure.

If you mean the gun 2 posts up with the AR mag well conversion, it is in 7.62x39. Those are XCR pistol 7.62x39 mags.

I meant it as a playful jab.
But I did think that was a 5.56 version.
Interesting....
I still like the original setup.
Different strokes for different folks.
How well do the straight magazine and the taper of the x39 cartridge work together. Seems like there could be some issues (granted, I've had some failures to feed from my OEM mags).

Ok she's finally done, time to post some pic's. Been looking for an optic which would meet my needs to finish project. Had to be a red dot or holo, battle proven, and capable of quick target acquisition but also pinpoint aiming up to 100 metre's. Found information on an Millet Zoom Dot made for use over in Iraq and Afghanistan. Was built to compete with aimpoint and eotech. Amazing reviews but Millet did not secure the contract for these sights overseas. Bushnel bought Millet and now makes this sight under the Bushnell brand. Love the sight as it dials from a 10 moa dot down to a 1 moa dot; best of both worlds in IMHO. Fibre optic sight and standard rear is easily visable under mount with a good cheek weld. No cheek weld for red dot but not needed for me as I like to have head up and both eyes open.

Anyway its done for fun and gun, or SHTF.
