How are you guys cleaning your brass? Are you doing it by hand , Sonic cleaning, Vibrating tumbler with some sort of media, or rotary tumbler with stainless. If with stainless where did you end up getting your stainless from?

Thanks

I pitch them in the brass tumbler.

I remember back when we had cats, they would occaisionally use the brass tumbler for a sandbox as a joke. I would come along, dump in a bunch of 223 brass and when they came out there would be a couple magnums in there with them.

You would be amazed at how good house cats are at evading gunfire...

I use the stainless media tumbler system. Works amazing.
There is lots of these threads concerning this in the reloading section.

When I get enough to bother with, I use an old pot, hot water and some phosphoric acid. Stir with a stick for 5 minutes, drain, rinse, and put them in a sieve over a hot air vent. Works like a charm.

Tumbler with walnut shells and a bit of brass polish mixed in with a bounce sheet to keep the dust down. For extremely old brass, that a tumbler or sonic unit wouldn't touch I have a bench polisher in my garage, brings them back to new on the outside, then I throw them in the tumbler to clean the inside.

I use about 2 tsp of blue magic metal polish from Canadian Tire with corncob media in my vibratory tumbler and my brass comes out with more shine than factory ammo.

I use a lyman turbo as well...Its loaded with crushed walnut with a bit of nu-finish. Brass comes out super clean!

This is Stainless Steel media.
