Cant speek for the FS but i love my Tavor...only thing that bugs me is my eye bothers me after shooting it for awhile, guessing because the action is so close your face. Dirties up my safety glasses too...anyone else have that problem?

That will go away in time. I used to get a mark on my cheek, but that hasn't happened in months.

I thought something about the gun changed, but when I gave it to a buddy to shoot he had the spot come back.

Stick with it, and your body will adapt on its own.

I was going to start a new thread but I think I will just ask here:

Can some one post pictures of their 100 yard groups with a Tavor shooting common commercial ammo? It would be much appreciated. I can't tell if my rifle is inaccurate or I am. I have only tried a few differant ammo types but my best results have been with 55 grain Hornady steel match. I thought the 75 grain Hornady HPBT would be better but they aren't.

FS 2000 for the win! Heck, I like the Tavor as well and will have another one some day. And probably a T97 just because I can.

You know if my Tavor 300 Blackout project doesn't work out and there is no 10mm Tavor ever made I might have to go back to trying a 300 blackout conversion with the FS2000 instead. Despite its bulkiness that picture has made me shed a tear for getting rid of mine.

Hmmm. A 300 BLK FS2000.........And I was just thinking it was about time to rebarrel this thing to non-resticted. I will have to ponder this a little more. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea!

Thank you so much I have been looking for that. My groups are bigger than yours but not much so I guess it's not all me. Definitely not a sharpshooting weapon. I should get into hand loading and see how much more accuracy I can squeeze out of it.

This is strange because in the IDF we use the shorter 15" barrels (even the designated marksmen) and you can get excellent groupings with it... With the non restricted ginormous barrel, I'd think it would be even more accurate.

Yes I noticed that when the whispering bald guy tried an IDF CTAR out on Future Weapons shot it very well and some people in Canada who have swapped for the shorter barrels have reported improved accuracy. I have heard it's because shorter barrels have less flex or whip or something but I have no idea. Kind of annoying that we have longer weapons with no positive trade off.

I've owned two FS2000s--I sold my first one and then missed it enough to get another a year later (hey, you don't get a trader rating of 123 by holding onto guns!;)). They're not as accurate as a comparably-priced AR, and the trigger pull is challenging, although manageable. I like them for their uniqueness and "fun to shoot" factor. I've competed with it as far back as 300m even with the Aimpoint and have held my own against Elcan-sighted ARs. I've not owned a Tavor so I can't compare the two...maybe I'll trade this one in for one someday!

I wrote a detailed post back when I bought my first one that shows more details of the insides. My current one has an Aimpoint CompM4S on it instead of an ACOG.

they're smaller than they look, too.

the Tavor barrels are thin and the longer they are the greater the tendency for barrel whip, heat warp, and poor barrel harmonics.

I broke down and ordered a FS2000 from Irunguns cause its just so damn cheap. I can have it rebarreled and it will still cost less than what Questar is selling em for.

Huh, bizarre. Seems weird that IWI would put out what sound like sub par barrels.
Anyways, hopefully one day the Micro will make it's way here, after all it's semi only. Although it's so compact. I love it. I'm heading back to Israel for two weeks over Christmas and I'm gonna do my best to get my buddy to let me play around with his. Fingers crossed!
