Hey Nfld nutz....is there a minimum cal/energy legally required for moose in your province, thx.

No .22 centrefire
No bullet less than 100gr, regardless of calibre
No bullet less than 1500lbs energy at the muzzle, regardless of calibre.
No slugs less than 20ga.
No buckshot.

You can also use a bow (but not a crossbow) with at least 20 kg pull.

My first was with a 303,my 2nd with a 30/30. Most have been with a 30/06.

I believe .22 Calibre centrefire is permitted for Caribou in Labrador.

They still have to meet the 1500 ft.lbs. of energy requirement according to what I'm seeing in their regulation.
