My #$%^ Fell Off.........

On the range today 4 rounds into the shoot my front sights dissapear......... I looked down the Barrel and the Muzzle Break had flown off the barrel. This rifle has fire more that 1500 rounds down it with no difficulties scared the Sht outta me lol. Anyways what I am looking for is a castle nut now after I found the one that flew off the barrel it definatly is unuseable.

must have come loose and a round or two struck it as you fired.. had the same thing happen with a 7.62x51 AK, gunsmith put the brake on wonky, or loose, and it went wonky after a couple shots, and then on the 3rd or 4th shot ( i forget ) it just flew downrange..

rounds had been striking the inner lip of the brake

You're hooped...there are no spare parts coming from China...I guess you'll just have to use your gun without a FH.
Unless some MBR frequent flyer has a spare. Which would be totally typical of members of the MBR forum to have.

Sound's like a re-tread's gonna happen. Mine's 1/2-28 so I can use any AR type muzzle attachment.

If the threads are ok, chines take offs can be found on the EE from time to time

For the price of the rifle, just send it in to get shortened to 18.5 and threaded. Done.. buy an other 22" if ya feel the need

If you want to thread it, get someone experienced with a lathe to do it. If you are using a brake, you want to make sure the machining is done right so that it doesn't strike the brake.

rod hendricks can put a new break on, he did it for mine, got a new custom set for it., fixed the site issue by picking up a gas lock mount from bits and pieces in vancouver.
