I'm torn....I want you to stop posting pictures of these incredible firearms..but at the same time I want you to keep posting pictures of these incredible firearms ;)

Just out of curiosity....what made you decide to join a Canadian firearms enthusiasts forum ?

Not complaining, I appreciate you sharing your collection, just curious why us ?

A few years back I was focusing on post WWII small arms, at that time I was looking for an AR15 style carbine and couldn't find anything, it was before OA and all the other european producers went to the market. So there was a guy who said he could import Dlask, a company I never had heard about....so, on advice from a Canadian member, I joined CGN to ask around about Dlask. I kind of got stuck in this nice place.

Just for the completeness of the story: the Dlask deal never went through and I got myself a HK MR223 ;-)

I "salvaged" this Garand from a farmers attic. I cleaned up the new Garand. According to Bruce Canfield's excellent book, it was made in july 1942, same date on the barrel, seems to be all original parts, the stacking swivel is misisng wich somehow is the norm for the battlefield leftovers.
