This came with my rifle and I want to sell it, but can't find a makers name anywhere.
Any help on make or value would be greatly appreciated, need to off set the price of the new front sight :(

Thanks but is Gehmann not just the maker of the insert?
I'm looking for the maker of the sight.

Thanks,
JJ

Gehman made the double adjustable insert.
Just out of curiosity, why don't you want to use this sight? If the square aperture doesn't suit you, a round one could be easily substituted. Looks like a good front sight unit.

It worked well for me last summer but my eyes aren't what they used to be so I purchased an 30mm front sight.

Did you go with the 30mm Rightsight? I did use the 4.0-6.0 iris but found I couldn't get enough white around the target at 500 yards using the .5 lens in the front. The lowest setting I could use at long range was 5.5. I bought a new iris last summer that goes from 5.5 -7.5, any bigger and I might as well not use the iris at all and just shoot the tunnel.

Yeah, that's exactly what I bought but havent had a chance to try it on the range yet ..... maybe i'll have to go to the 5.5 - 7.5 as well.
New to TR, this has been an ongoing learning exercise.

Everyones eyes are different, lots of guys use 4.0-6.0. I might have been able to get away with that if I went to a .3 lens in the front instead of the .5. Wayne the Rightsight guy can also set you up with a .3 and .5 lens that are really close to the same optical centers, but you need to tell him that when you order them. I know one shooter that tried to switch from .3 to .5 bought at different times and the shift was 2 MOA.
