I agree with everything you said 100%. If a scope isn't durable, repeatable, and reliable, then sparking optical clarity is of little use to me.
That's what I meant when I said that "that's the case with all scopes". Physics dictates that when something inside a circle hits the interior of the circular wall, it must travel along the wall in a circular arc
Like I said, some manufacturers prevent the erector from moving along the circular scope tube wall by engineering a "stop" or rectangular box within the scope tube, that the erector cannot pass when it hits the scope tube's interior circular wall, resulting in the erector tracking in an apparent rectangle or square box. But you already know all this.
If the SWFA was available in Canada for a little more money than the PST, I would have gone that route. But it's not. The best we can do is to figure out how much adjustment we realistically have, and go with that.
