I'm going to be sick.

The lever is a Marlin 336. The top-break is a Smith & Wesson .38 Double Action or .38 Safety Hammerless (can't see the hammer / grip to tell) or a clone thereof from any one of a dozen manufacturers that made them.

Depending on condition and caliber that Marlin could be $350 and up.

With all the cameras rolling I could just hear some politician or PR cop spouting about "getting guns off the streets!"

Any one know any gangsters that roll with WWII milsurps and hunting rifles and are willing to trade them for a camera coupon? Even the gangsters know better. These campaigns take advantage of widows and people who don't know what they have.

13000rnds of ammo! Probably going to get destroyed along with the guns...anyone ever wonder if there are lucky rcmp shooters that benefit from these types of things? No one would ever know where those guns or ammo eventually ended up.

What a waste:mad:

Hmmm, how much ammo? I might have dropped of a few rounds for a $75 gift card...then sold the card and bought more ammo!

It's a $170 camera plus a coupon for a photo course for a functioning firearm, or a $75 gift card for ammo or a non-functional piece.

So the gun who turned in the Sten likely got half a digital camera. I'm going to throw up again.

I'm done with Henry's. I'll never buy camera stuff there again.

I with you on this one Grizzlypeg, but I actually had a better idea.

I was thinking of stopping in and wasting a couple of hours of their time putting together a kick ass camera package and just before heading to the counter say to the guy, "hey aren't you the folks that ran that pixels for pistols program not long ago", when he replies yes with pride dump on him for being an anti and walk out the door.

“The removal of these unwanted firearms from our community has eliminated the possibility of them ever getting into the hands of the criminal element,” the police service said in a release.

Unwanted hell. I want as many free guns as I can get my hands on.

Simple minded appraoch to a complex problem. Image - 1, Substance - 0.

I always love seeing the ever so evil SKS which is so wide spread they cant do nothing about muahahahaha!

but i got to agree a redcoat holding up a 7-11 with a brown bess is slightly amusing

I see some nice doubles in there; my personal weakness. That hurts. A work mate of mine turned in her grandfather's entire collection to the cop shop when she settled his estate. She mentioned it to me after the fact, she simply did not know what to do with them. That one still rankles. Ignorance is bliss at times like this.
