AXTS Raptor Charging Handle

Does anyone know if the Raptors will keep the stress off the roll pin the same way that the BCM Gunfighter handles do? I like the idea of ambi, but not so much the idea of a busted charging handle as I do a lot of support hand manipulations in matches to save time. Hence why the BCM has been go-to kit for me.

Taken from another forum (so you can judge it anyway you see fit)...Where as BCM chose to strengthen the Mod 4 Gunfighter by moving the weight off the roll pins to the body, the Raptor solves the problem of the weak roll pins of the stock charging handle by simply beefing up the roll pins and the surrounding material. For the levers, the Raptor uses two hefty, stainless steel, spiral roll pins, nearly 1/10 of an inch thick and almost 1/10 of an inch longer than the BCM Gunfighter Mod4.

Did you get it in Canada? if so, where?

I'm in Texas for the winter and got mine directly from Rainier. I'm not sure but I think I saw that they ship to Canada when I ordered mine.

I can't speak from experience but rather generally from knowing quality when I see it. The Raptor looks like a very good design with excellent materials including beefy pins.

In operation, the action is very smooth with no hint of torguing or binding. Time will tell but I expect this part to outlast me.

####, I am indeed talking about the C7 latch. POS. Plain and simple. The raptor I haven't handled as of yet, but would like to. The standard cocking handle with a badger tac latch hasn't failed me yet. Alot of my chums run with the BCM stuff and love it.

The Colt Canada tac latch works fine if you can find one.

hahahahahaha... hahahahaha... hahahahahaha... ahhhhh...

Sorry.

Back on point. I have a AXTS. It's pretty nice. In fact it's completely unremarkable. It has no massive positives nor negatives. It works both ways with no issues. That is probably more important and more remarkable aspect of it than anyone else's product out there. It works.

I got a few of these yesterday. I'm pretty impressed. Very aesthetically pleasing. I put one on my Noveske SBR and another on my SR15. They move freely, without any binding in any way from either side. I like how the serrations really grip my hand, unlike the PRI Gasbusters, which was my previous default charger. I though they would be chunkier, but they are actually, fairly unobtrusive. Very nice, well designed part.

Where did you get it?! Agh! Want

I sourced them through the US a few days before the insanity began. The dealer is not replying to my emails now, so I think he is sold out. Regardless, they are mine now, and the nicest charging handle I have used to date. I had an extra one that would have found its way into the EE, but it was snagged by a smooth PM'er before I could post it. Brownell's is sold out.
