Mini-14 AR mags

None that I know of....and why bother? Tapco and Thermold are both selling cheap versions and once they work the current kinks out of the mag fit, they might actually be useable/reliable in the new 580+ series.

Well if a Mini-14 could use AR mags it would be able to run the legal 10 round LAR-15 mags

Think that's where the OP is going with this.

For me, more mag capacity in a non-restricted long arm is a good thing :)

In most of the U.S., Mini owners don't need to worry about such things. They use factory Ruger mags without restrictions (for the moment). The market in Canada is a pittance in comparison and likely not worth doing any AR mag conversion -- even if it were possible.

I've also been told that it takes approximately 5 minutes to unpin a pinned mag if a SHTF/TEOTWAWKI scenario suddenly erupted and civil unrest followed. Who needs 10rd LAR mags then? A factory Ruger mag is always better than an aftermarket mag -- especially if it has the potential to hold 20 or 30 rounds.

Ramline made magazines which fit Mini 14 and AR. But they would have to be pinned to 5 anyways.
