I think I already know the answer to this question but I'm not 100% sure. I figured I would ask since I've been having trouble getting through on the phone with CFC. I have a LTATT, just purchased a restricted from shooters choice. Does my LTATT cover bringing the restricted home from them? My LTATT states for all approved ranges,border crossings and gun smiths. So nothing there about a retail store, or does that fall under gunsmiths. I read it as I would need a STATT, but figured I would ask. Thanks.

The CFO will tell you that you need an STATT (I don't necessarily agree, but he gets last say). Fax your request in with your name and PAL #, the transfer number, where you are picking it up from (full business name and address) and the date you want to pick it up on. Their fax # is (780) 495 7970, request it be emailed to you (include your email address, of course). Usually they respond the same day or the next morning.

Thats what I was curious about, since a lot of gunsmiths are employed at a gun store, wouldn't that be within the limits of a ATT? Either way I finally got through and got a STATT emailed to me. This ATT garbage really needs to go.
In my experience the store won't hand over the item until you provide a copy of the STATT and the NOT.
Not a big deal, takes a whole 10 minutes from the time the CFO answers the phone to the arrival of the docs via email.

Ya I think when I finally got through took about 5 minutes and all they asked for was my PAL number and what store it was. Saturday is gonna be early Christmas for me.
I'm sure I will make a post when I get it with pictures and all that stuff.
what happens when you order a restricted weapon online? Say I get it shipped to my office (since that's where I will be during business hours). Can I then take it home from work or do I need a STATT to allow me to transport it home? I may not know the exact date the gun will arrive at the office...

I believe you would need a STATT. The day it gets delivered phone the cfc and get a STATT either emailed to you and print it out, or faxed if you can. Anytime I've needed a STATT it's taken less than 5 minutes on the phone(when you get through). Then they will fax or email it.
Pretty sure you could not accept it at your place of work unless you were absolutely certain of the arrival date. A restricted cannot be in your possession without an ATT of some sort. Even if you knew the arrival date, I wouldn't be surprised if your CFO said no to the STATT, since your work cannot be designated as a location on your STATT. Unless you work at a gun shop or a range!
Most common solution is to have it delivered to your residence. If nobody is there to accept it, you'll have to get an STATT to pick it up at the depot.
