Between the rifle, binos, and scope money is runnin out quick!

Im wanting a rangefinder for hunting and some medium distance work when I finally find the time and land around Calgary to shoot out to 500 yards. Anything good n cheap for me out there?

a lieca
b swaroski or however they spell it- leupold also fits in there
c bushnell
if you look at the top 3 and look for clarity like you do for a good set of binocs or camera , or a scope, you won't be buying bushnell- oh sure , they get the job done in a half -assed way- same as their scopes
it's kind of funny how us old timers learned to hit at given ranges without lasers- see if you can find an old field craft manual that uses the height of the front sight vs a 6 ft man to range estimate- ie you know that if a 6 ft man is 1 inch high =x number of yards away

thats exactly what Im going for here- somefin' ter git the jawb done.

Ill check out the bushnell.

BTW, I've owned and used RF's from Leica, Zeiss, and Bushnell. I'd go with the Bushnell Fusion or Elite 1600 for bang-for-your-buck, and the Elite 1500 if you need to minimize the cost.

The Vortex looks good, too, but the price needs to be competitive with the Elite 1500 for it to be a serious consideration, since performance seems to be about equal.
