Identify this magazine, will ya?

So, can anyone tell me what this .22 magazine was made for?

The box is 61mm x 59mm with a thickness of 19mm. Total height including the stack is 127mm.

I put 14 .22LR cartridges in there, with room for a 15th if I would press the last one in.

Came with a box of assorted yard sale gun stuff. Was mentioned at the time ‘That's for an M-16.’ Now I know that's not exactly true but perhaps there was a sporting RF copy of one way back in ancient times?

Obviously, it's surplus to my needs, so if anyone can use it…

I Googled that fire-arm, and I don't suggest anyone else do it.

I suppose if I ever get around to posting some things for sale on the EE this magazine will go up. However, in the interim if somebody saw this and absolutely needs it, the cost of postage and it's yours.

Guess you figured out what it is... Don't keep it and buy one lol. A renter actually left one in one of my folks rental houses when he moved out. The sear plate was worn, so I got a new one for it.

Kind of a waste of $15 as it still doesn't like to cycle all the time and is hardly accurate at all. People ask about it when they see it though so I guess it's more of a conversation piece. It's pretty light too, stock feels like it may be balsa and the trigger guard and grip are plastic.

75% of them don't work right nowadays, because they were used mostly by young kids and never taken care of.
Mine is in mint condition and works absolutely flawless with HV ammo.

I'm seeing lots of "negativity" about these rifles, and have mixed emotions about 'em myself. Basic rifle is a model 20. They were affordable rifles in their day. They are also one of the original "tacticool" rifles. Market for them now as there was then. Funny, there's an AK47 styled model of 20 that is now prohib. (Looks alone....). Although they look pretty plastic-y the stock is wood.

I find the 20's to cycle well, accurate. Not a bad semi .22....the one issue I have (as many others have had) is the aluminum trigger breaks rather easily. This has led me on quite the odyssey over the last year.

Na....I've had both and the M1600 / M1600R are wood stocks painted black not injection molded plastic shells.
They Armscor rifles "feel" more authentic to what there suppose to mimic.
