M1 Garand, James Riner Armory vs Vulcan Gun Refinishing

Looking to restore my old Garang or buy a restored one. Both James River and Vulcan seem to de good jobs and cost wise they both seem to be in the same ballpark.

I would either buy one from James River or have mine rebuilt from Vulcan.

What are your experiences with either or both?

X2 I have 4 guns that are done by nick, 2 garands, 1911a1, and a 1911 us army, with two more 1911a1's on the waiting list.

Nick is great, just refinished 3 m1 receivers for me. They look like brand new.

What do you want out of it? Does it have the collector value of an untouched original? No it doesn't, will you have a historic firearm that is like the day it came off the assembly line? Yes you will.

I haven't sent a firearm to Vulcan that is in good original condition. All the ones nick has done for me are in need or have been refinished at one time in their life, either arsenal or commercially so there was nothing really to lose and I'm 100% happy with how they turned out. For me it's great bang for my buck
