Dear registered MIC2013 Competitor,

As Match Director for the MIC2013, I am compelled to postpone the MIC2013, for an unforeseen situation.

Yesterday Jan.18th,2013, Club de Tir de Montreal (CTM) / CRAFM Inc, had a main sprinkler water pipe burst located between the roof & the ceiling at our facilities due to the severe cold snap.

We had 12 to 18 inches of water all over our facilities, the ceilings collapsed in both ranges, ventilation duct work was damaged, soundproofing was damaged, electrical damage, gyp wall damaged as well as range furniture damaged. Damages at this point are approx $150,000 & counting.

Construction for the match was scheduled to commence on Wed Jan.23rd and there is just not enough time to have everything repaired or in operation by that time.

After having consulted the main organizing committee, we have decided to postpone the MIC2013 to the end of March, in order to have our facilities 100% operational for this event.

The NEW proposed dates for the MIC2013, will be March 29,30, & 31,2013 - We have requested authorization from the IPSC governing body to authorize the new proposed dates.

For those of you who feel that you will not be able to attend the MIC2013 in March, you will be refunded 100%!
For those of you wanting to attend the MIC2013 in March, we will maintain & honor the same day & time of the squads recently posted.

I am truly sorry for this unforeseen postponement and/or any financial strain that this may have caused you.
We are trying to resolve the issue of financial strain caused to registered competitors with our insurers. We will be keeping you posted.

We would also appreciate you circulating this announcement in event that we may have omitted to include some of you with all that has been going on here at our facilities.

I understand that some of you have taken time off to come to our Annual IPSC Level 3 match and I truly hope that you understand our present situation.

Look forward to seeing you all in March 2013.

With sincere regards,

Frank Nardi

Best match of the year in Canada quite honestly. If anyone is sitting on the fence, well jump over it! You will have a blast at this match. The props, the people, all awesome!

I'm on the fence. How much of a PITA is it to get the ATT to travel into Quebec? As I understand it, mine is only good for going to ranges in Ontario.

simple as a call to the cfo's office.
They should have it emailed to you 15 minutes after you hang up the phone.

Please let me know if you need any help with your ATT and it will be my pleasure to help you. It honnestly is very simple and takes very little time. Just send me an email at jpd@crafm.com if you need anything.

JP

I'm somewhat of a newbie at IPSC and I have to say that this sports grows on you like Revenue Canada on honest workers...

I attended last year, knew nobody there but a few lads met at other matches and had a ball. Never suspected you could get that much fun and challenge at an indoor range. Most fun one can have with clothes on.

I was to attend again but with disappointment I realize I will not be in the country on those dates.
Darn, 12 stages too!

I'm off the fence and booked to go. I wanted to get my probationary match under my belt before thinking about too much else. I did that this past weekend and survived the experience with a smile, so now it's time to experience a Level III. Several folks at our Kingston match were talking about how great MIC is so that convinced me to get off the pot! The stages look great!
