Hey guys,

just picked up some bullets from the local gun shop, but got them home, looked at what he gave me, and they are 9mm soft point? Never even heard of them.... My first question is why would they even make a 9mm SP? Do people actually hunt with the 9mm NR carbines? If not, why make a SP 9mm bullet?

Anyone ever used them? Speer 124gr.
bloody expansive suckers too. Wasnt really paying attention at all i guess.

I suppose it might provide a bit of expansion. Self-defense round? It wouldn't be my first choice of bullet.

Another theory: I used to belong to a club that didn't allow FMJ rounds because they were afraid for their backstop. I guess a soft point would be allowed, and give you better feeding than HP?

I dunno...

yeah they have a similar profile to a FMJ. I think your theory is sound. :p

Dame expensive plinking round though, 25.99 for one box, 27.99 for the other. I said to him, whats with the 2 different prices?....oh must be last years, and this years stock.
nothing else in stock but 115gr.

Oh yeah i remember why i never shop there.

that's about what lebaron wants for 100 hornady 124gr XTP bullets, 21.99.

make some up and use nail polish to seal them at the bullet and primer, homemade self defence rounds!
