I really like the look and price of the mossberg 715T. Considering its half the price of the mp15-22. But am looking for some input from owners or former owners. Are these little beautys a buy? Please any input would be great but not looking for brand bashers. Thanks

Damn accurate at 100+ yards, extremely reliable with most ammo but I find they don't like the cheapo Winchester white box hollowpoints AT ALL, they extremely crude bullets with horrible casting.

I've got........20k rounds through mine at least now and working perfect.

Mine was a carry handle model that I've chopped up myself then painted accordingly.

We bought the 715t flat top and a remy 597 we had issues with the mag staying engaged with the 715t it would drop a 1/4 inch every 5 rounds or so. So we brought the 715t back into the store where we bought it and compared it against the display and found that the display had much more of a positive lock and less mag movement when engaged. ( I think they all wiggle a bit) The store swapped me for their demo and so far no problems. It feels like less of a toy than you would expect, I would say its fairly reliable on the replacement I think we had 1 failure to eject out of 5 mags and 3 or 4 out of 9-10 mags on the original. I don't find it particularly accurate with the iron sights but the wife loves it so maybe it will get a red dot for Xmas.

I can't say 100% I would do it over again because of the mag dropping headache but I would say you get value for your money. Only advice would be if you decide to purchase one if possible test the mag fit before you leave the store...

Btw the 597 is awesome and I would in a heartbeat buy another and drop it in a archangel kit.

Just be forwarned, cleaning is a pain!!! A tonn of screws and they are all into plastic. Wish they went into metal but sadly not the case.
It does however shoot as accurate or better than a 10-22 or sr-22 and costs half (or more) as much after the ruger guys add to there guns what comes standard on ours.

I have the flat top its pretty cool no big problems shoots great put a cheap red dot on it fun to shoot with the kids cci blazer seems to work well in mine no jams until it started geting dirty at about 350 rounds right out of the box cleaning really isnt that bad just some screws no big deal

I just bought the flat top version. It's fun to shoot and pretty accurate, even with just the iron sights. The only problem I've had was charging the magazine past the eleventh round. Simple fix though; take it apart and chamfer the flat edges on the bottom of the follower. It's been great since. I'd buy it again. FWIW, I have only used the cheap white box Winchester ammo with no problem yet.

Just got one for Christmas last weekend. Best wife ever! Can't wait to bring it to the range this weekend. What kind of ammunition has worked well for everyone so far? Just want to get an idea of what works and buy a few different kinds.

Took it out to the range yesterday for the first time. Had some FTF issues but not many. Was using Winhester Bulk ammo seemed to like it. Can't wait to break in the action to hopefully get rid of these FTF and it will be sweet.
