Both brands are available to me locally but have no experience with plated Their websites indicate Aim are hard cast with plating running three thousandths, Campro are swaged with plating running eight thousandths.
My question is, has anyone used one or better both of these brands and be in a position to comment on quality, consistency, etc? Campro are a little more expensive but wonder if thicker plating way be an advantage

I have reloaded plated bullets for my 9mm. They work well but you have to follow the load data for plated bullets not for jacketed. Plated bullets are not recommended for magnum caliber full house loads as they can shed the plating & cause issues. 9mm is fairly low pressure so it's not as much of an issue. What caliber were you planning to shoot?

i've used Aim & Berry's [ swaged & plated ] in 9/40&45 . they all worked well , up to their power factors , minor for the 9 & major for the 40/45 . Aim being a little less consistent in weight & quality , but more than good enough for all but the true expert , @ 50m .

i like campro better as their bullets seem to be better quality, and smoother in the swaging process. however the one time i used aim bullets i asked for 147 grain bullets and they seemed to be .357 bullets the weight was off as well. not sure if the box was marked incorrectly or what.

I happen to like Aim but I guess I'm biased ;)
Whatever you choose, make sure that you don't over-crimp. The bullet should not be deformed after crimping or you will pull drag the plating off when firing.
I've shot Aim 124 gr. 9mm's to 1550 fps with no degradation of accuracy.

I have used the CamPro with no issues at all. I only switched to Berry's because they are cheaper. Have heard some folks have had issues with the AIM.

The only issue I ever had with aim is their 9mm 124gr profile. You have to load them too short for them to fit the CZ shadow chamber.

Interesting. I found the CamPro and the Berry's had the same profile- I didn't change my seating die at all when I switched to Berry's for my Shadow. I load mine to an OAL of 1.087.

I have used Cam-Pro in 230gr .45 / years ago. I had 1 lot number that was inconsistent in base to ogive length so I switched to Zero brand jacketed bullets.

A few months ago I came across a deal on some Cam-Pro 9mm 147gr that was too hard to pass up.
I loaded all 2000 of them with very consistent results.
