I'm not sure if anyone else has any of these mags, but i found out that its EXTREMELY hard to load rounds into the mags by hand. Using the uplula speed loader made it pretty easy but on the 10th round I had to literally push as hard as possible to get the last round into the mag. Does anyone have this issue?

Mine are tight by hand but have loosened up a little bit after leaving them fully loaded for weeks at a time. I always have 1 of my 3 mags fully loaded with 10 rounds sitting in the safe, I trade them out about every 3 weeks to keep them all worked in a bit. I also only use the Uplula speed loader, loading them by hand sucks LOL

Nice, I'm doing the same as well. I hope that loading them will loosen them up. Do you clean your mags often?

Last poster said it as I was typing.

I'm not a huge fan of the plastic heel making up the lost height in the mag, the shortened ones do make the 10th round a pain.

Initially, I found the 10th round hard to load, but after loading/ unloading a few hundred rounds, the 10th round is a lot easier to load. Seems as though it just needs to be worked in is all.

The legs on the follower are a bit too long and they hit the bottom plate.
Take it apart and grind them down a bit.
It makes a bit difference.

This is the issue...Generation 1 mags have a different follower and 10 rds can be easily loaded in. Generation 2-4 mags have a different follower with different length springs. The problem is the shape of the Gen 2-4 followers, the legs of the follower are a bit too long. They are light grey and have the "9" on them. This video shows how to modify the follower.

I did the same to my wife's M&P9 mags - cut about 2-3mm of the rear follower 'legs' (no need to grind, cut with a knife) and clipped half a spring coil off the bottom of the spring. 10th round is still fairly tight but much easier than before and most importantly the full mag is MUCH easier to insert now. Before it was very difficult and for games like IPSC/IDPA etc it was simply not an option and would not have worked well.
