I signed up last Sunday.
Going for Safety on Oct.19. In addition I will be also going for the practice shoots after the Safety training.

Just finished testing....waiting for Restricted and Non....
I live in Nobleton, Ont, have car will travel and I'm looking for a mentor to teach me how to shoot....
If you got some guest range time or a farm to do some plinking that would be great.

I'm 42 years old, all about safety and have a great respect maybe even a tiny fear of shooting so I promise to be a great listener....
PM if you got some availability, thanks to all you mentors as good as the CFSA testing and courses are, I believe this will be where the real learning is done....

I have recently purchased my first shot gun (a 20g Franchi) and was hoping someone could give me some guidance and practice in the Barrie/Newmarket area.

Any mentors in the Ottawa area available to take a newb to the range... I just ordered my first rifle, a Savage in 223. I'd love to get a few rounds down range, get it sited in and learn how to use it properly.
 
any mentors in the toronto, burlington, oakville, mississauga area?? I am currently not driving as I commute to toronto every day from oakville, but I would be willing to taxi/train/bus anywhere within reason and if you were close by and picked me up id pay half the gas.
 
are there any members here from the FOREST HILL REVOLVER CLUB ... http://www.fhrc.ca/ been trying to get a hold of someone there but no luck. I would like to join but no replies to emails or phone calls left a bunch of messages.

it's hard to reach anyone @ the club. I tried myself some time ago. Got someone on the phone once and they advised me that the club is very private and membership is limited. However, this might have changed.
Keep on calling - try Saturdays and Sundays.

Thanks for the info. I have been trying for a couple of weeks now but no response. Just wondering if there are any existing members here that would let me tag along and get my foot in the door.

Hello All,

I'm a newbie. Waiting for my PAL, but in the meantime looking to meet-up some gun enthusiasts in my area (Toronto GTA). I've been considering a Ruger 10 / 22 as my first gun.

From reading some of these posts, it looks like finding a gun range in the GTA area is difficult. Can't wait for that ;)
 
Seems like there are quite a few GTA people, and yep finding a range seems to be difficult.
I only have my course for PAL and RPAL in March, but I'm already trying to figure out places to go so I can get shooting ASAP!
 
Good choice man, fun gun, lots of aftermarket parts for it, on the cheap side too, if you get it between now and next week there's lots of boxing week specials everywhere!

Newbie in Di house I've been reading alot, and gaining some useful info.
I'm just 8 days into my R-pal/pal applicationi was wondering if there's anyway to make use of this boxing day sale any ideas guys?
 
I am newbie to firearms and recently acquired my PAL (NR/Restricted). After waiting around for a few months, finally went over to Colby Shooters World and signed up for a membership. I still have to do the club handgun safety course but was hoping there is a mentor out there who can help in getting my first real rounds out :) I do have a car and can provide transport if needed. Maybe there are other newbies in the Cambridge/Kitchener/Waterloo region that would like to meet up?
 
Newbie to owning not to firing in Durham region looking to finding someone in the area involved in any of the clubs with full bore capabilities to get out and spend some money on ammo
