At the very least they will no doubt lengthen the life of your firing pin if you carry out dry firing practice.

This is a very commonly used tool in hammerless hinge action shotguns that automatically #### the action on opening the gun and the barrel (s) are lowered. Because broken firing pins become very expensive to replace in this style of shotgun.

I'm a believer that a guy should have snap caps for every caliber of firearm he owns, these are great for practicing your trigger control and to fight against the dreaded flinch.
