Yup, you've got a fever.......and the only perscription is, more cowbell!
Merry Christmas! I hope your fever breaks in the New Year.....

Wow - two of them Luftwaffe issue? Unusual.

Yeah, and one of the Luftwaffe's is the bubba vet bring back on the bottom. A stunningly well marked 41 byf in Walnut, all matching including the L marked cut stock and screws. I want to restore it, not sure how I will be able to dowl fit the for end on it as its cut behind the rear band...

Just put a new stock on it. Nothing really to gain by trying to splice a piece on. Numerous reasons, first, your handgaurd, band spring, and both bands will be mismatched anyways. so even if you splice, you have a mismatched rifle. Second, you will plainly see the splice. Third, You will also need to solder on a proper sight base. Which, while may be correct, won't be original. Its only original once. Id suggest getting a stock and bands from Mario. I think he may even have a L marked kit. That was a while ago though.

Whats the story with the others? Matching? Codes?

I zoomed in and saw a Norwegian and an RC. That is the cleanest Rc Iv ever seen if thats the case.

Yup, one is an RC, VERY clean and nice walnut. hand picked it when they first came into the country about nine years ago, a norg coded 243, 1940 it also is one of first imports back in the eighties, the other All matching very correct bnz 1941, 100% original picked that beaut up from a local collector that had it for over 35 years and agreed to part with it to the next gen..

Plinker777- it is a Bolt dissassembly takedown disc. The Late War style is just a hole in the side of the butt plate. 2 Styles.

Try getting into re-building 98k mauser's. After a few, you just keep doing it, if the parts are available. I got into be-building israeli 98k .22 rifles. I had a bunch left over from my import of .22's gathering dust. Then GPC said they had the small parts, so I bought almost all they had that I needed. Got new israeli surplus 98k wood and stock metal and was good to go. I have completed about 60 guns so far, with about the same number to go. But, the wood has run out. All of the guns were original in exc/mint condition except for some small parts and needing new wood because of oil/dirt stains on the original wood.
I have thought about converting some to 308, but I have to have the receivers checked to see if they are hard enough for 308.

Jealous. Love the middle one!

Always figured I would buy a 10/22 first, but last couple of weeks has made me rethink. Possibly something in an 8mm mauser. so expensive to shoot tho

Marstar should be getting some 8mm yugo surplus soon( end of December, early January so they say) its suppost to be some very good stuff so it won't be to expensive to shoot soon.

Made me pay too much... where you just looking for a sporter or where you going to try to revive it?

I thought about restoring it but the rear sight missing might have been a problem to find some to fix it. Great looking rifle With the waffen stamps intact.

Very nice! Mausers always command attention, don't they? Thanks for showing them to us. Drool damage control in effect.

I like the look of that one too!

Hey, what is frankenmauser? I have heard it bandied about, and have some idea that it means something akin to putting parts from several guns togeather to make one good one?
