Cabelas S'toon had stock on 22 wildcats for 12.99/500. Hope I didn't make a mistake, picked up 5 boxes. Haven't used it before. Minute of gopher at 60 yrds? Pos or neg responses if you will please.

The price was right it was a one day only deal. I've used these shells for years always worked for me nomatter what rimfire I use.

If Cabela's was local, I would've probably grabbed a few boxes too because it's usable ammo, and the price is great! That said, I prefer copper-washed when I can get it, so I typically don't buy lead when it's $20/brick like everything else out there. Good score I say :)

Damn the title was misleading. I thought it was about the rifles. I was going to say never sell one if you find one. That is one rifle i really regret selling.

I have about one in ten ftf on me. It might be light primer strikes. I don't know if it is the rifle or not but my 10/22 is almost brand new. I haven't tried any other ammo yet.

I have always had trouble with them in semis. I gave my box of 500 to a old guy with a cooey they work like a charm in that gun.

I purchased a case - I am sure it will work in my bolt action. I have a Mossberg Plinkster and a CIL semi-auto. I don't expect it will work in them. The kids can learn how to work a bolt...

I picked up a box of Winchester Wildcats, Federal, and Blazers. All 40 grain rounds and to me the Wildcats seemed to pack a bigger punch in felt recoil and the distance the case was ejected. I also experienced the least amount of FTF's with the Wildcats. These were all fired from a Savage 64.

Best deal so far. The cheapest I saw was $ 18.99 @ Sail and Le Baron. Better than Remy Bulk, but not as good as CCI Blazer and Fed 525.

I've put lots of that through my Mossberg model 702. Out of 500 I'd say I get about 15 or so ftf. I've tried most every cheap brand out there and I'd say the wildcats are as good as any, better than most of the cheapies.

They work fine. Typical mediocre performance that is on par with most bulk stuff in that price range, like federal 550 or win dynapoints. For that price I would have bought a lifetime supply.

Wildcats were crap in all of our guns... I gave away a brick and a half to some kids at the range... their dad said his wallet was happy to get them! ;)

Geez , for $12.99 I would have picked up a bunch . They aren't my favourite , but for plinking that's an unbeatable price .

Avoid (if you can) using this ammo on semi-auto pistol. My GSG 1911 and Browning Buckmark had some terrible experience lately (not as bad few months ago). 20-30% FTF/FTE. Bad batch? Maybe. Cleaned both pistols and still having same failures. Good for bolt action, single shots and revolver. Stick with copper plated ammo for better feed.
