Got my interviews done and everything, just called and they said that my pal/Rpal has been sent to my provincial CFO for final approval. Can I call them to shorten the wait time at all?

I read in another thread that the British Columbian CFO has been taking up to 5 months for ATT approvals, is that the same CFO whom will be approving my PAL/RPAL and has there been cases of a PAL approval taking months as well?

I'm in BC, called for my ATT on Dec 17th and it was issued same day...done by the Alberta CFO who is helping the BC CFO catch up. I had no hold up on my R=PAL by the BC CFO either, my license was issued immediately following my 28 day waiting period. If you are in BC you should not be experiencing any delays other than the usual holiday season slow down. Good Luck

I can't say...I only spoke to the CFC lady and the Alberta CFO lady...I never spoke to the BC people. I would call the CFC number and select the ATT option, that puts you through to the CFO...with luck it'll be the Alberta CFO that helps you out. Just tell her you are waiting for your license approval and you want to apply for your ATT to reduce waiting time. Perhaps she can perform some small miracles for you. I found the Alberta CFO very friendly and helpful. Also ask her to email your ATT...it will have your license number on it.
