Hey, i am currently looking at my options. I have never owned an AR15, and the reason i want one is for precision 200yds shooting. So lately i have been looking everywhere for the armalite national match 20'' barrel (impossible to find) and came accross this colt. If ever i should find such a model would it be a smart move? Or should i wait for the Armalite NM to get back in stock? How much would you pay for a Colt A2 HBAR sporter?
 
Depends upon the overall condition and the round count of the barrel. Do you know this or are you left to speculate?
 
When a seller "says" there is a certain round count we can only presume.
Would you ask of him a full gunsmith inspection with barrel life % left?

I would agree with you. However, if a person claims a low round count and there are signs of wear that would seem excessive for the amount claimed, then either ask more questions or get a qualified opinion of someone you know that knows AR's well.
