Well my usual hunting spot got pounded with snow over the past 24hrs...Can't make it up there til after xmas, but I am itchin to get out to do some bunny hunting. Most of the hares around my home have all changed to white, which is really convenient since everything is still green...haha. Anyone been out lately??

I've been hunting cottontails almost daily, the dogs kick up a handful each hunt and we don't go home hungry. The early bird catches the worm.
Got three in Dunnville on the weekend. My 8 year old son, a buddy and myself. Buddy brought his beagle and we kicked up all kinds of bunnies. Ether the rabbits are getting faster or I'm getting slower. Almost forgot, Buddy blasted a coyote at 5yds with his 20ga.
I got one last week by fluke. My bird dog started him which was kinda strange. I heard him let out 1 sharp bark, which he also normally doesnt do, then was on the chase. It came running back in my direction with the dog not far behind and i popped him with a single shot 410.

After you get a rabbit pelt you have to wash the blood off then use a hare drier to dry it[/QUO
I have 4 of them living under my deck.
Funny you say that...I get cotton tails under my shed every year, Sitting in the back yard with a pellet gun is a riot. My town does not have discharge by-laws, and my yard backs onto a water tower so it's plenty safe to shoot a <500fps pellet gun.
That kinda sucks. Just relax, things will change, no point getting upset and pulling your hare out
