I just got a Remlin 1985gs in 45-70
It work fine and everthing. I am looking at getting a MERCURY RECOIL SUPPRESSOR or Mechanical piston reduce for it. I was hope some one use used one and can tell me what recoil reducer is better. thanks

Have you shot it yet? Just asking because the recoil isn't that bad, unless you go up to full bring the house down handloads.
 
Ya i bought a guide gun a few months ago they dont kick that bad at all my 300wsm is way worse. Im just getting into reloading so time to make it kick lol
 
Recoil isnt bad at all my wife and my buddys 9 year old kid use to shoot mine with out a problem

They're pretty tame with the anemic "Trapdoor" loads and "green box" stuff but if you load em up with heavy duty Buffalo Bore or Garrett ammo you'd better hold on to your hat.
Even the HSM ammo you can get in Canada will knock you around a bit.
